Minimums, maximums and pack sizes — checked at checkout.
Mint Limits lets you set how many of each product customers can buy, sell in cases or packs, and set a minimum or maximum order value. Shopify checks every rule at checkout, and your storefront tells customers the limits before they get there.
Sell in the quantities that work for you
Protect limited stock, sell by the case, keep orders worth shipping.
Your limits run as a Shopify checkout rule, so they apply to every checkout — including Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal express buttons. Editing the cart or skipping the cart page doesn't get around them.
For all products, collections, single products or single variants. Count each product (all its sizes together) or each variant separately. The most specific rule wins, so a product can override a store-wide limit.
Add up everything from a collection — a case of 6 bottles in any mix, at most 10 sale items per order — or limit the whole cart.
Set them in your store currency; customers shopping in another currency see the converted amount at checkout.
Give signed-in wholesale customers higher maximums or a minimum order, or exempt VIPs from a limit. Tags only count for customers signed in to their account.
A product page block shows “Minimum 6 · Maximum 24 · Sold in multiples of 6” and sets your theme's quantity selector to match; the cart lists what to change next to the checkout button.

Questions merchants ask
Can customers get around the limits?
Not at checkout. The rules run inside Shopify's checkout as a checkout rule, for every way of reaching it: the cart page, cart drawers, Buy it now and express payment buttons. The product page block and cart messages are there to help customers get it right before checkout; checkout is what enforces.
Will it block adding to cart?
No. Customers can build their cart one item at a time — a minimum of 6 would be impossible otherwise. Checkout shows your message and asks them to fix the quantity before they can pay.
Do limits count past orders?
No. Limits apply to each order: what's in the cart at checkout. The app doesn't read or store your customers' order history.
Which rule applies when several match?
Each item follows its most specific rule: a variant rule beats a product rule, which beats a collection rule, which beats a store-wide rule. A rule for tagged customers beats one for everyone; otherwise the rule higher in your list wins. Combined and order value rules always apply as well. The simulator shows exactly which rule each item follows.
What do customers see at checkout?
A clear message such as “Tote bag: the minimum quantity is 6. You have 4.” in their language — English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese are built in. On Pro you can rewrite every message, add languages, or give a rule its own message.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
No. Checkout rules from App Store apps work on every Shopify plan.
What happens when I uninstall?
Shopify removes the app's checkout rule and its theme blocks with the app. Nothing was added to your theme's code, so there's nothing left behind.
